Weight Management Services Surrey: Helping You To Improve Your Relationship With Food
I offer one-to-one sessions, workshops and webinars including ‘The Brain’s Tug-of-War: Understanding Emotional Eating’ and a fortnightly support group. All are available in person, Surrey, or via Zoom.
One-To-One Sessions

Whilst mindful eating is about paying attention to the eating process itself, it’s not just about trying to tackle mindless habits- it also considers the root causes and drives too, which keep unhelpful habits going. We talk about ‘food issues’ or ‘weight issues’, but it’s not just food or weight itself that’s the problem but issues such as anxiety, guilt, self-loathing, escape-seeking, approval-seeking, a history of trauma, procrastination, avoidance, boredom, frustration, a need for a dopamine hit, stress, loneliness, anger, resentment, depression, sadness or lack of fulfilment.
The reason many diet plans are hard to stick to isn’t due to a lack of willpower- it’s because they can be too restrictive, and when you combine this with an impatience for quick results, lack of nutritional knowledge, mindless eating habits, stressful living and an obesogenic environment where we’re constantly confronted with food, diet plans inevitably don’t work. Trying to use just willpower to eat less isn’t enough- this is why people can feel stuck in a rut with eating behaviours they don’t believe they can shift, and feel frustrated with themselves.
If you’ve tried all the diets and always end up back where you started, or you feel like you need to fix your relationship with food, I can help you to put an end to calorie counting, food guilt, diet rules and problematic eating habits such as binge eating and mindless eating. I can support you in modifying any unhelpful, self-limiting attitudes and beliefs around food, weight loss and nutrition so that you can start approaching food in a way that’s enjoyable and sustainable. We’ll explore a more effective strategy for weight loss, long-term weight control and better eating habits by helping you to build greater insight into not just what you eat, but how and why you eat.
My one-to-one sessions are for you if:-
~ You’re tired of yo-yo dieting, you’ve tried all the quick fixes, and now you really want to lose weight by eating in a normal, balanced way for real, lasting change
~ You know what healthy eating is, enjoy healthy foods, but find it hard to be consistent
~ You’ve lost weight and need some effective strategies to help you keep the weight off
~ You want to start trusting yourself around food and have more positive eating experiences, rather than eating mindlessly, binge eating or feeling constantly guilty about your food choices
~ You’re ready to do the mindset work that diet plans haven’t taught you, and discard any unhelpful beliefs, attitudes or behaviours around eating, nutrition and weight loss that have been keeping you stuck.

“I can’t thank Emma enough. From the very beginning, she was incredibly caring and truly listened to everything I was saying. She made me feel understood and supported in a way I hadn’t experienced before. Emma helped me to see food in a completely different light- not as the enemy, but as something to work with, not against. Her approach gently challenged my thinking and completely transformed my relationship with food. I’ll definitely continue to see Emma every now and again for a top-up, and it’s such a comfort knowing she’s just a phone call away if I ever need her”.

Format Of Sessions
Clients can choose their own number of sessions and can opt for weekly or fortnightly sessions, depending on individual needs and budget. If clients choose to see me ongoing for multiple sessions, they have the option of reducing session frequency. For example, they might start off with weekly or fortnightly sessions but further down the line they might choose to see me for reviews once a month or every 6-8 weeks. I offer flexibility depending on individual needs and budget.
From my experience of working with clients, several sessions over time is much more effective than just one or two sessions in a short period, as building new and sustainable habits can take time. Consistency is key, and so regular sessions over a few months are a great opportunity for clients to receive ongoing support which can help maintain motivation, develop and consolidate skills and enable us to re-visit any particular challenges they might be facing. For this reason, I recommend a
Initial session (90 minutes): £75
Subsequent sessions (60 minutes): £60
SPECIAL OFFER: Buy 4 sessions up front and get the 4th session HALF PRICE (£30). Contact me for details.

“Emma’s talks are excellent- very thought-provoking and empowering. Emma is so welcoming and leads really useful, comfortable and directed sessions that encourage openness in a safe environment.
